Steen Lomholt-Thomsen joined HP in September 2008 and serves as Vice President and General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for HP Software & Solutions.

HP Software & Solutions delivers management and industry solutions enabling our customers to optimize business outcomes and extract more value from their investments in people, applications, infrastructure, networks and information.

Steen brings extensive leadership capabilities in sales, marketing and management built over more than 15 years in the IT and software industry.  He also brings very deep knowledge of the system and service management market and has delivered strong growth as well as successfully integrated multiple acquired companies.

Prior to joining HP, Steen had been at IBM for 10 years where he held various senior and executive positions at their software division.  Before joining HP, he had been Vice President for IBM's software division in the Nordics where he was responsible for sales, marketing and services.  He has also served in several executive positions for IBM's Tivoli software division with the latest being Vice President for Tivoli software in Northern Europe based out of Zurich.  Steen also held an executive position running Tivoli's Automation business worldwide out of Austin, Texas.  Before this he worked in various management positions for Tivoli software in the Nordics and in Europe.

Before joining IBM Steen worked at NCR's retail and financial group for 6 years, where he was responsible for their software retail application business and was the strategy and business development director for NCR's financial group out of London.

He holds an MBA from Copenhagen Business School.
