The driving time from the airport to Hamburg city centre is about 15 - 20 minutes. The average price for a taxi is approx. € 20,-- dependent on the exact hotel location and traffic conditions.

Alternatively, you may wish to use the metro system (S-Bahn) which will take you quickly and efficiently to the city centre in about 20 minutes.

Breakfast is included in your arrangement and will be taken in the individual hotels. Some hotels may assign a special room to conference delegates for breakfast. Please ask at your individual hotel reception.

Delegate name badges will be distributed on arrival at the conference location (CCH - Congress Centre Hamburg) and for security reasons must be worn at all times. Your access to the conference area and other events will be restricted in case you do not wear your delegate badge.

Should you cancel your participation less than 4 weeks prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of € 250,-- per person will be charged. Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to arrival or no shows will be charged at 100% of the booking.

The regular check-in time at the hotels is 15:00. Subject to availability the hotels may be able to give you your room earlier.

The regular check-out time is 12:00 at all delegate hotels, and we kindly ask you to settle your incidental charges (such as phone calls, bar, etc) before leaving the hotel. To avoid queuing you may wish to consider checking out the evening prior to your departure. Should you wish to have a late check-out please ask at your hotel reception. For your convenience, a cloakroom facility has been set up in the CCH - Congress Centre Hamburg where luggage can be stored prior to airport departures.

A cloakroom is located on 1st floor of the CCH - Congress Centre Hamburg.. This area will be used to store your luggage should you bring this to the venue.

Coffee breaks are served both mid-morning and mid-afternoon in the exhibition area Hall H and ground floor foyer. In addition refreshments will be served throughout the day at various outlets in the building. Please look for signage.

The CCH - Congress Centre Hamburg is one of Europe's largest and most modern conference centres, and is ranked among the top venues worldwide for international conferences. On average, some 200 conferences and meetings are held at the CCH each year, attended by about 150.000 people; there are also some 200 cultural and social events each year, attended by about 400.000 people.

During the HP Software Universe 2009 event the dress code is business casual and for the evening events casual. Please note that some establishments in Hamburg insist on correct dress code and do not accept clients in jeans, trainers or without a tie.

Electrical appliances in Germany operate on 220 Volts with continental style sockets, so you may wish to bring an international adapter in order to use your own electrical equipment as the hotels only have limited numbers.
